Synopsis:
Kazuhiko has named his daughter Tomie, after the love of his youth. As a young girl, Tomie is constantly bullied by her classmates. One day, she meets a young woman also named Tomie, and the pair quickly become close friends.
When Tomie's father starts acting strange, she discovers the origin of her name. She also learns of the supposed demise of her father's love. As the young Tomie begins to put the pieces together, an unthinkable outcome becomes the only one that makes sense, and she is horrified when finally exposed to the real truth.
