Synopsis:
The heartbreaking story of a simple, innocent brother and sister... Gu-gyul-li, a small seaside village. The first words spoken by a child - 'Nan-na (meaning 'I am me') - thus becoming his name, Nan-na. With only his grandma, Nan-na grows up with the seashells in a small seaside village. Then one day, the year he turned four, Nan-na is met with a sudden addition, his sister, Oh-gi. No longer the center of attention, he is now in second place for his grandma's affections. Like a squirrel, Nan-na scurries all around the village but his grandma's frightening yells force him to take along a bundle, his sister Oh-gi wrapped in her baby quilt. Unable to play war games because of her, Nan-na starts giving Oh-gi a hard time knowing she's too young to complain. As she grows, Oh-gi develops a humpback due to malnutrition. In his childishness, Nan-na is ashamed of Oh-gi and does not let her anywhere near his school. Even though Nan-na himself makes fun of her, Oh-gi loves her brother above everyone in the world and does little things for him like pack him a lunch basket made out of wild roses. Grandma works unyieldingly to make ends meet instead of her children who have only left her with burdens. When she hurts her back and is unable to work any more, the family moves, following Nan-na's uncle. However, the unreliable uncle loses all of grandma's money by mistake and Oh-gi is sent to grandma's sister for the time being. Finally rid of the nuisance that was his sister, Nan-na unwittingly begins to miss her. When he hears from his uncle that his mother, whom he always longed for in his dreams, Nan-na goes to look for her. Confirming his mother's name on the license hanging on the bakery store, Nan-na visits time to time and glances at the middle-aged woman inside with tears in his eyes. Before long, Nan-na becomes quite respectable, delivering papers instead of ill grandma. Grandma recovers and opens a market stall and the family is reunited once again. Nan-na and Oh-gi jump for joy. However, Nan-na accidentally finds out that Oh-gi is his half-sister from his grandma. Feeling a sense of distance from her, Nan-na childishly starts mistreating her again. Forcibly, Nan-na takes the unwilling Oh-gi to the bakery. Pushing her inside, Nan-na runs away. But then, his uncle tells him the jolting truth that they were merely guessing about Oh-gi, that they weren't really sure. Nan-na runs straight away to the bakery but Oh-gi has already been sent off to a city-operated juvenile shelter... (Credit: AsianMediaWiki)

Hyun Bin starred as Kang Jae-Kyung, Lee Yeon Hee starred as Choi Eun-Whan
Synopsis:
Kang Jae-kyung (Hyun Bin) is your typical spoilt rich kid; he’s arrogant, drives sporty cars, attends the big clubs, rides through school corridors on his motorcycle and - wait, that’s not typical at all is it? As his 18th birthday approaches he’s set to inherit his grandfather’s fortune, but that comes with a price. Jae-kyung is going to have to earn his fortune. His grandfather lays down an ultimatum; Jae-kyung is required to transfer to a new school in Gangwondo and graduate. Until then all access to his penthouse, cottage and credit cards is denied. Should he fail to graduate or drop out then he loses everything. With little choice he heads out to the countryside and a small town in which daily life is far removed from what he’s used to.
Shortly after settling into his new home he meets 19 year-old Choi Eun-whan (Lee Yeon-hee), who just happened to run into him back in Seoul. They don’t exactly hit it off; he’s far too stubborn and cool for school, while she sees hope for him and sets out to make him see it for himself. As they eventually draw closer, thanks to a set of coincidences and school projects they learn more about one another, but soon a shattering revelation will change these people forever, or something.
The script for this one is ... well ... let's call it inexpensive. It uses the Korean melodrama template where the girl dies after teaching the boy how to love. Lee Yeon-hee is as cute and as adorable as they come. I wish in this one the girl didn't have to die, but then it wouldn't be Korean melodrama--and don't tell me that's a spoiler. I really enjoyed spending time with Lee Yeon-hee but I can't OK the script. Hyun Bin is quite dashing as the spoiled millionaire too.

Review:
One of the most beautiful and saddest dramas I've seen. Those who don't want to cry please don't watch it because it really is sad and knowing this happened to someone is way too heart breaking. In many aspects the drama is better than the movie but in terms of performances the movie is better.
